Foyle Inishowen Clipper 2012

The village of Greencastle is running a weeklong festival from 30 June to 7 July to celebrate the Clipper Challenge yacht race. The full programme of events is being finalised and will be posted here very soon. the plans include family fun days, a folklore parade, hog roasts, street entertainers, lots of traditional music and local musicians in the pubs and restaurants & on the street, a tea dance, boat trips, a funfair and much more.

The village will act as a wonderful viewing point to see the magnificent 68ft clippers sailing along the Foyle throughout the week as well as local, visiting and traditional boats. The main highlight will of course be on the race start day on Saturday 7th July but there we ensure there is a real celebratory atmosphere throughout the week.

Inishowen 100 x 100 Art Trail

Artlink, based in Bunrana are running the first of an planned annual Art Trail sited along the route of the designated tourist trail, the Inishowen 100. it will consist of artist exhibitions, workshops,
talks, and outreach events.
